I too, have entered the world of blogs

I've been contemplating adding a blog of my own for a while. What pushed me over the edge is that I wanted to comment on my brother's page, blurred metal, and it wouldn't let me unless I was registered. In the process of registering, it created a blog for me. In any case, here I am.

What do I plan to do with this venue? Lets see what develops.

I like conversions and they have always fascinated me. In a certain way, that is what math (and to some degree physics, biology, chemistry etc. ) is -- a method of conversion. Some of the interesting conversions are length under the influence of speed etc. Lengths are usually rendered in miles (statute and nautical), meters, astronomical units, light years etc., but it is also meaningful and in common use to talk about distance in terms of time. This has no real relation to length as it is modified by the Lorentz contraction, but it is nevertheless an interesting coincidence.
